Behavior Consultation

Many dogs are banished to outdoor kennels, tied in yards, physically abused, neglected, relinquished to local shelters and needlessly euthanized every year. I am always saddened looking into the eyes of the dogs who look back at me through the cyclone gates of shelter kennels. Every single one of them, was at one time, carried home as a pudgy puppy in the arms of someone who promised to love them forever. Misunderstood, but often normal doggy behaviors left unaddressed as they grew, landed them helplessly in cold, unloving circumstances. Some of these dogs end up with irreparable psychological damage, all of them are left without understanding what caused their abandonment.

At Canine Construction Professional Dog Training, we work to prevent the sense of frustration and helplessness which typically precedes the surrender of family dogs to shelters and rescues. As part of this commitment, we offer a low cost*, no obligation demonstration and consultation appointment. During your consultation, we will assess individual needs on a case-by-case basis, identify and/or verify stimuli that cause undesirable behaviors and determine the training strategy that best suits you, your family and your dog. (*The consultation fee will be applied toward your investment into the training program of your choice.)

In order to affect the best results, it is vital the dog’s owner/handler learns to see the world the way their dog does, and responds to his or her behavior naturally. When secure, stable leadership and clear communication is present, problem behaviors disappear.
